Island Estates is a special place with obvious natural beauty. Containing approximately 100 acres of the former Turkey Hill Plantation, Island Estates consists of 33 estate-size lots of at least two acres within the private gates of The Reserve. Long gone is the rice plantation that once occupied the island, but the community remains closely connected to the Waccamaw River via the adjacent marina. Architectural Guidelines for Island Estates envision that the owners of these special home sites will participate in restoring the memory of an elegant lifestyle while preserving the natural beauty of the island. As of early 2026 there are currently 17 completed residences and 2 under construction.
