Heron Marsh Villas is the oldest “Regime” at Litchfield by the Sea. It was started in 1978 and built in three main phases with the last Phase 3 completed around 1982. It comprises about 17 acres of property and includes a tidal lake with good fishing. There are thirty buildings of four units each, some three bedrooms and some with two bedrooms, 120 units total — all elevated on pilings with parking underneath. They are distributed along several roads: Spartina Court, Heron Marsh Drive, and Lake View Circle. Most have pleasant views of the lake and the tidal marsh. Sunsets are spectacular at Heron Marsh. Heron Marsh has its own large swimming pool with bath house, lounges, and shade picnic area. All of Heron Marsh have short walks to the beach over various walkways.
